Singapore Tour Day 2

It's already the 2nd day of our escapade. I have only four hours of sleep. (Hindi obvious na super enjoy ako sa pamamasyal.) It's already 7 am and "bakit madilim pa?" Well, we are in Singapore then and we should not wonder why. Sun rises at around past 7 am in Singapore.

Bak Kut Teh
We left the hotel by 8:00 am and we headed to Promenade Station where the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Views, Esplanade, Merlion Park, Theaters by the bay, Suntec City Mall, Raffles Place etc. are located. You'll see in every corner different endearing views. All of these scenic places are very much captivating and you'll not miss any corner to take a picture. Look at the pictures here in my blog and you'll see how beautiful these places are. No wonder, millions of tourists flocked here to visit these places like no other.

Raffles Place
We spent until 1:30 pm in seeing these places. Then at 2 pm, I met with Marianne, a friend of mine at Khatib. We talked for one hour. (Nilibre niya ako sa McDonalds). Thanks sa Food Marianne! hehehe!

Esplanade
At 4:00 pm, we headed to Ang Mo Kio Avenue MRT Station. There we ride the Bus 138 to Singapore Zoo. But unfortunately, we haven't able to catch up with the Zoo because it's closing time is 5:30 pm. We arrived there at around quarter to 5. What we did is to wait for the Singapore Night Safari which will open at 6:30 pm. It's just beside Singapore Zoo. My companion went home at the Hotel already and I stayed for the Night Safari Adventure. I bought a 2-in-1 Hopper ticket for Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari which cost S$ 42.00. There's a S$ 12.00 discount on it.

THE NIGHT SAFARI ADVENTURE

The Night Safari has something to do with animals' undertakings during the night. I ride the tram to witness these animals in their night life. When the sun sets, over 1,000 nocturnal creatures rise to embrace a brand new night. Embarking on a fascinating journey of wildlife in a unique setting of darkness and mystery, I joined the trail through 8 geographical regions and see various animals from different parts of the world. It's really exciting if you only know. The ride into the mysterious rainforest was so amazing. This is a journey from the Himalayan foothills to the savannas of Africa on a 40-minute tram ride accompanied by live commentary. In the night tram session, we had close encounters with Malayan Tapirs, frisky deer and bizzare babirusas. Or, face off with roaring lions, tigers and majestic elephants. We had also the chance to see the elusive pangolin or spy on the shy barking deer in their naturalistic habitats. Each walking trail takes approximately 20 minutes to cover and it is recommended to explore the trails before 11 pm. Also, playful otters welcomed us with their cute calls while we observe animals like the stealthy fishing cats as they hunt for their prey and shy binturongs as they play hide and seek amongst the shadows. There are also big cats on a night prowl. We had spotted leopards, civets and golden cats along the trail. Malayan flying foxes and giant flying squirrels in walk-through domes are there. It really brings a whole new meaning to 'close encounters'! There's also something lurking in the cave. We had explored the nooks and crannies of this re-construction of the Naracoorte Cave in Australia and visit its inhabitant such as the giant river toads, centipedes, cave racers and more! All these things make up the Singapore Night Safari. Lastly, I had an opportunity to attend a show which is "Creatures of the Night Show" at around 8:30 pm. This is one of the world's finest animal presentations. It showcased a 30-minute of non-stop action as star animals the otters, binturongs, raccoons, wolves, hyenas and many more, amazed us with their predatory and survival instincts. The Indian Girl who hosted the show really makes it captivating. One thing more, we are not allowed to take photos with flash because it will disturb these animals and they might attack us during our tram ride. Because of this, I had bad photos of the animals in the tram session. But it's not a big deal on my part because despite of this, I still enjoyed it much.

Night Safari

After the animal show in the Night Safari, I went back home to the hostel. I took the bus 927 to Chua Cho Kang Station and there I ride two trains, one from Chua Cho Kang to Jurong East and From Jurong East to Aljunied. I arrived at the hostel at around 12 midnight. I had great day on my 2nd day in Singapore.

Pls. continue to read my stories until day 6. Thank you.
